About

“There is nothing more frightening than active ignorance”
Goethe (German poet)

I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it is dealing with people who blindly opine. They often have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about. These are people who take the position given to them by the evening news–they will simply believe what they hear instead of really listening to and evaluating what is said. This website rejects that level of ignorance.

“The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism.”
Wole Soyinka (Nigerian playwright, poet, novelist and political activist)

You may not like what I say, but you’ll certainly know what I think. This website is dedicated to providing social, religious, political and technical commentary. The topics presented are generally derived from questions I have about a specific topic or issue. I research the topic or issue as thoroughly as I can and present my conclusions as articles on this website.

“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”
Aristotle (Greek Philosopher)

I don’t really care whether or not you agree with me and will expect no less from you. I will consider all opposing views and respond to educated arguments.

“All things are subject to interpretation; whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.”
Fredrich Nietzsche (German philosopher)

Political correctness has no place in an enlightened society and therefore will not be accepted on this website. I will call a “spade” a “spade.” I reject those who use intimidation and boisterousness to subjugate viewpoints different from their own.

I am Walt Whitman’s noiseless patient spider…
