The Opryland Hotel

I’m sitting in the Opryland hotel in Nashville, TN. The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Baltimore Ravins and the score is tied 10-all. The room is dim and save the television’s glow, the only light shines from a small lamp on a couch table beneath a very large and rather gaudy mirror. The hotel is quiet. I imagine this is due to it being a weeknight and much of the activity occurs Friday night through Sunday morning.

Where’s my room service?

My chair, a small loveseat, is stiff and affects my ability to relax. I would sit in the other chair, but would be forced to view the television screen by turning my head sideways. This would eventually be more uncomfortable than the stiffness of my present lounger. I suppose I could switch the locations of the chairs, but I’m not inclined to rearrange the furniture right at the moment. The loveseat is not that stiff, and my present laziness prevents any sort of activity.

Ah…there’s a knock at the door! I’m starving!!
